GPU programming libs?

by

Do any atlhackers have any experience with programming GPUs without using openGL or DirectX?  I’ve only heard of Brook for general GPU programming and I was wondering if there were any other public resources out there…

An IEEE article I read suggested there are translators from general purpose languages such as C and C++ to the shader languages like Cg (and other languages for other hardware). While surfing around, I found a general purpose GPU portal and some class notes. Good luck finding!

Here’s the IEEE Xplore link: General-Purpose Computations Using Graphics Processors. Links to some applications.

There’s another breezy article in this month’s, but it’s not online.
